In just six days, I’m doing it again. Running another half-marathon that is. I’ll be running this one solo but given the friendly camaraderie at races I have run in the past, I am sure to enjoy myself. It remains to be seen how well/or poorly I will run compared to the Tiarathon, but I am ready to run.

Y’all should know that I’m not the only bad mother runner running next weekend in Northern California. My dear friend Jenn will be running with some more awesome, local moms for a very good cause. These lovely ladies, all wives, moms, sisters of local law enforcement, will be running the Foot Pursuit in memory of the fallen and to benefit the Police Officers Memorial Group of Stanislaus County. This is an organization and cause very close to Jenn’s heart as she kisses her handsome man good-bye everyday that he goes out to work.

My Tiarathon room mate, Kari, will be running a wild and crazy, two day run from the Napa Valley to Santa Cruz with a small group of awesome blogging ladies to benefit Organs R Us. I was so disappointed that I could not accept their invitation but knowing that I’ll be running somewhere under the great California sky with them and Jenn makes me feel pretty good to know that I am not the only bad mother runner out there.

And just in case anyone is scratching their heads over what to get me, or perhaps any of these awesome mother runners for Mother’s Day, this t-shirt is pretty cool. I’m just saying…
