so this is love part 3

It might seem to those who don’t know me very well that I take pleasure in bashing teachers. Of course those who do know me know that I LOVE teachers, especially the ones who work their butts off in the classrooms where my clowns are at. My kids’ teachers rock! And here is just one reason why I celebrate my kids’ teachers:

My boy is loving reading! In spite of my own efforts to share my love for reading that I wrote about over at Central Valley Moms, my amazing little man has discovered love for reading; and I give credit where credit is rightfully due, to his hard working amazing teachers.

so this is love part 2

How on Earth are you going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?
~Albert Einstein

First love!

Young love!

:::sigh:::

It’s so shiny, sparkly and new like unicorns and sparkles and fairies. It tickles all of your senses in such a way that you just can’t stop giggling.

First love is such a wonderful kind of love. Our Zoë is discovering it right now. Yes, she is giggling a lot more than she usually does when she calls or skypes home and that is a lot…the giggling, that is…the calling or skyping home not nearly enough. It’s part of life; a part of growing up into truly a real grown up.

A certain family member crassly joked that at age 18, she sure did move fast.

:::Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink. Heh-heh-heh:::

???

Because she rarely dated during her high school years choosing instead to focus on friendships, school, work and family? Because she is enjoying her college life like most college age kids…like her parents, like her older sister? Doncha just love it when that aunt or uncle, that every family seems to have, opens their mouth with their totally inappropriate, unsolicited observations?

Yeah, me too.

Whatever.

Not sure what that relative meant by that. It wasn’t funny. It was kind of rude. It wasn’t her place to make that judgment considering her own history, her own family’s…just sayin’… The way we see it is Zoë is only discovering that which we all have had the chance to experience around the same age…unless we were as pure and virginal as the driven snow back then…believe me, a certain relative was by no means that back in the day.

But whatever.

Young love, first love is fresh and fun and  if you can survive that first face to face meeting with the parents and family then you are doing A-okay. Just stay away from that weird uncle or aunt and you’ll be fine.

Well, until you meet the flirtatious, little niece. Obviously she approves of Zoë’s Josh.

Watch her!

In all seriousness, it was wonderful to meet Zoë’s beau and see that he could survive our crazy circus act.

Enjoy this adventure kids…where ever it may take you.

Mi-Ma’s little helper

She follows after me when I am vacuuming. I assume she is picking up what I might be missing. She also considers dusting, with her own Swiffer duster, to be the most exciting activity to do here under the Big Top. If only she would do windows…especially considering most of the windows have HER fingerprints all over them. If she does start doing windows then I think I will hire her out. I’m sure that this is how Merry Maids got it’s start.
