burning down the house

I do believe that yesterday my darling husband was hell-bent on burning down the Big Top.

I mean look at what happens when all 49 candles were lit.

No, the smoke alarms did NOT go off. Yes, they all are in good working order. Which reminds me, this weekend is Daylight Savings Time. Time to Spring our clocks one hour ahead AND replace the batteries in our smoke detectors. But back to the bonfire…

It did warm up the Big Top.

Oh that husband of mine! Don’t you love how he focused the camera when he grabbed this shot? Yeah, me too.

I blew all 49 of those candles with one try and quickly too because the chocolate on the cake was starting to melt. Of course I blew them out easily. Please! I run half marathons! That darling husband of mine has a birthday coming later this year…let’s just say he doesn’t have nearly the lung capacity to blow out only 48 candles. Perhaps I might be gracious enough to help him.
