a whole lotta hugging going on

…and talking, and eating, and drinking, and exchanging of great ideas, and so much more all in the name of networking. There is so much to like and love about BlogHer but I would have to say the best, the very best is the networking.

I'm networking here!

You can’t imagine how amazing it is to meet someone who’s writing you adore like Jenn and find yourself laughing until your sides ache because she is that real and that funny. She gives great hugs too.

Then you hookup oh so briefly with the lovely Lotus and talk about bewbs and photography as you admire how even while networking she is managing to take lots of great photos. You feel just a little ashamed because your own camera is still tucked into your bag. Every time you see her she is taking pictures and every time your camera is tucked into your bag. Sheesh!

But speaking of bags. While attending her Blog as a Life Changer session, you get to gush with the awesome Karen Wahlrond over your mutual love for the Epiphanie bags that you both own. You may or may not have drooled all over her beautiful grey Clover bag. Karen was pretty gracious and pretended not to notice.

Hanging out with Jenny, The Bloggess, in her custom-made bathroom at The People’s Party,

you had the chance to share with her how her latest tales of Ferris Mewler made me laugh as I remember how much I miss that bitch~kitty of mine. I apologize for making The Bloggess cry or perhaps I didn’t at all…perhaps it was the pharmaceuticals or the bathroom cleaning fumes. Nevetheless, she hugged me and thanked me and then shooed me out of her private bathroom.

There is so much to say about the BlogHer experience and I’m afraid I just might have to keep on writing about it the next few days. Consider yourself warned. But the absolute best of it all is the meeting and greeting and hugging that goes on between people, bloggers, friends, dear friends in real life, awesome online friends you meet face to face for the very first time, those you end up bleeding just a little with, running with, and those you are introduced to for the very first time and you find yourself immediately connecting with as if you have known each other your entire life.

People like:

These are just a few names that I am dropping. Please note if we talked, hugged, danced, drank together or bumped into each other at BlogHer and your name isn’t here LET ME KNOW. Considering how beat up and worn out I feel today it is very likely that I just forgot. Let me know if I forgot you and I will add you to the list of just a few of the 3,600 bloggers that I was lucky enough to mingle and share germs with.

    • I have already decided that I must come to Nashville. I’m adding it to my life list. You can’t imagine how close I was to crying when we hugged each other goodbye.

  1. I went vacationing around CA after Blogher and am just now getting around to sorting out all the cards and swag and notes and thoughts I had while I was there. It was great to meet you! Glad to know you had a fantastic conference.

    • How wonderful that you could make a vacation out of this. I do hope that you had a great time exploring this great state I call home. It was truly fun to meet you.
