half and half

I remember my boss coming upstairs to see me and admire the latest Scarborough baby I had birthed when Abby was born. As she held her in her arms she commented, “I swear it’s like you clone these babies of yours!” Yeah, I’ve been told that from time to time. The kids, especially when they were younger, look so much alike and yet they were different from each other. But I have to concede that they can never deny being related to one another especially on the playground or in the classroom. Jodie is always being confused for one of her sisters in spite of the fact that they all have long graduated from high school and have moved on to other adventures.

It’s the DNA…a strong double helix of deoxyribonucleic acid…and in Daniel’s case strong nurturing. I have no science to back that theory up really but that is the reason I am running with…nature versus nurture and all that, you know. Our influence is strong.

It would seem that Hollie has some of those strong genes too.

It’s pretty powerful, and beautiful stuff!

This being the 26th week of 2012, the Focus 52 assignment was “half”. Be sure to stop over at Jan’s blog and see the amazing offerings this week.
