  1. Hi there!

You are scheduled to host the Carnival of Family Life this week!

I will send you all of the posts submitted through midnight tomorrow on Sunday morning. There are a lot of them, but they will be provided with the html so that if you don’t want to change the way in which you present them, you could just cut & paste from the e-mail to the post.

Questions? Concerns? Drop me a line!

The Carnival should be posted early on Monday. Since you use WordPress, you might just want to set it to publish at midnight.

    THANKS very much for hosting!!

  3. Hey there! I really enjoy your blog. I’ve been reading for a little while. In fact, you are the one that got me hooked on Confessions of a CF Husband (thanks :) ) I was wondering if you had a link to your daughter, Holly’s blog. I have seen you mention it but have never found a link. She seems like she would have some interesting things to say and I am always looking for new blogs to read. Thanks!

  5. HI, My daughter was drinking milk and growing until about 5.5 months when she started daycare with tons of colds and her growth slowed (I would breast feed at home and send both breast milk and formula to daycare). At 8 months we got her a nanny so that she could stay home and avoid all the colds. But she kept eating and drinking less and less (actually eating more solids up to 12 ounces a day but drinking only about 5 ounces of formula). So a month ago at 9 months she actually had lost weight and was off the growth charts. She was diagnosed with hypotonia and failure to thrive and gets her feeds 100% via gtube. They want her to back in the charts on the 3rd percentile in 3 months. But I worry that since she is so full with the 6 bolus gtube feeds I have to do every day that she does not want to eat any by mouth. Would you be so kind to share your experiences about how to go from tube feedings to oral feedings? My email is pachecosylvia@yahoo.de

  6. Hi Laura
My son’s bard button is going to be removed soon. I am trying to connect with you to find some information regarding that. It was great to see that your son’s BARD removal went fine and he is doing well.
Please reply if you get this

  7. Hi, Laura

Just found your blog through Grandma’s Briefs. I’d love to use you for a resource for a article about juggling kids and grandkids. I’ve bookmarked your blog, and I’ll be in touch! Or you can email me.

  8. I have been reading your fantastic blog, and took the liberty of contacting you because I think your readers might be interested in Embrace Global. Embrace is working to save the lives of preemies in the developing world who don’t have access to the same facilities as those born in the USA.

Our nonprofit, Embrace, has joined forces with like-minded Mom designers to launch the Embrace 2010 Holiday Collection, including premium baby blankets, charms, and holiday cards. With every purchase from our Holiday Collection, profits will help to make meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable babies through providing them with the low cost infant warmer that Embrace has developed. The warmer does not require constant electricity, is portable & intuitive to use, and unlike traditional incubators that cost up to $20,000, the Embrace Infant Warmer costs less than 1% of this price.

Help us share the gift of warmth today. We would appreciate it if you would help tell your fans, family, and friends about us. Wishing you happy and warm holidays, and of course Happy Shopping!

    Warm Regards,
    Team Embrace
