ladeeees and gentlemen! boys and girls! children of all ages…the coming attraction…

…is here!!!!

May I present to you all Hazel Faye!

Born at 5:13 pm Sunday afternoon after a 20 hour, epidural-free labor (my daughter is a rock-star!)

She weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20 ½ inches long…exact same weight and length as her mother! She is cute, chubby, has the most amazing, long fingers and just enough strawberry-blonde hair to keep her mama’s stylist hands busy. Mother and baby are doing awesome and happily breastfeeding.

She is named for her great-great grandmother, Hazel and her great grandmother, Dorothy Faye.

More pics here

I will blog later because I am just too distracted by the newest member of the circus act

Oh and give me a day or two to figure out the winner of the Target gift card..

And though my opinion counts for absolutely nothing, what a lovely name. It is graceful, slightly unusual, not trendy, spelled correctly and has a connection to your family! What great taste you have.

May Hazel Faye grow up to bring you all a lifetime of happiness.

  14. Congratulations to Mom and Baby – and grandma too!

She’s beautifully chubby and way to go on the no epidural mom! (I hope to do the same). I hope you do a post on the how labor went – I’d like to hear how she dealt with it. We’ve hired a doula to ensure we get what we want but I’m still nervous…

Many blessings, good fortune and good health to precious Hazel. I look forward to watching her grow 🙂

  15. Catching up! Thunder storms over the last few days have played havoc with our internet.

Happy tears for you all! The baby is sooooo cute! And super nice job on the photos, Grandma. I can’t believe how great Holly looks after 20 hours of labor. Wow.

Welcome to the world, little Hazel.
